Jeoraj Stanly George was born in the small sleepy town of Thodupuzha, in the southern state of Kerala, palm fringed paradise,
and home to such art forms as the
Kathakali and Mohiniyattam.

He took to Indian percussions at the early age of seven, taking instruction in the Carnatic style from noted exponent Ananth Rao for five years.

In highschool Jeoraj fell in love with the drumkit, and it was to be his instrument of choice for the years to come. After a few months under well-known drum instructor Joeboy Master, Jeoraj decided to pursue a formal course in drums, at the prestigious Drumtech Institute in London. Along with a Diploma in Drums and Percussions, Jeoraj finished at the top of his class, no mean feat for a young drummer from a
sleepy Indian town.

Returning to India in 2005, Jeoraj has been teaching the art of drumming at institutes like the Musee School of Music and the Unwind School of Music. He also conducts critically acclaimed drum work-shops, in places like IIT-Madras' Sarang - the cultural fest.

Performances are Jeoraj's first love. He has shared the stage with such names as Amit Heri (Jazz Guitarist), Keith Peters (Bass),
Frank Dubier (Jazz Trumpeter), Maarten Visser (Saxophone) and Hariharan
(Indian Classical, Pop Singer)
